Spelling Dojo is a team project that puts together teachers, web developers and content managers to combine their knowledge and provide spelling activity packs for your children or students to practice.

Our “Dojo” is, basically, a metaphor. A Dojo is a place where we learn a philosophy, not only some physical skills. And a place where “practice makes perfect”. But practice based on visual and auditory aids, on visual and auditory memory. Having different approaches to help remember the words, the actual letters that compose each word. And sample sentences to put those words in context.

There are different people behind the Spelling Dojo project, but it is basically a shared project where all members work together giving the best of their abilities. We have a Computer Science expert who takes care of the technical part and, of course, the development of the on-line activities. We also have our content manager and website researcher who is also in charge of validating the visual presentation of our activity packs and of obtaining lists of resources that can be used within them. And finally, we have two teachers who validate the pedagogical and educational aspects of the packs, as well as test them with their own students in a real classroom environment.
